A standard basketball game have 4 periods, known as quarters, each lasting 12 minutes in the NBA and FIBA games. Many other kinds of Basketball games have differnet period too like NCAA basketball uses 2 halves instead. Basketball Game Periods are designed to structure the game, allowing teams to make adjustments, take breaks, and maintain competitive balance. Overtime periods are played if the score is tied at the end.
